Children have fun, make friends and enjoy new experiences at Sarasota County Parks and Recreation summer camps. Parents know their children will be well cared for and have a great time. Families appreciate low fees with payment plans and financial assistance to qualifying families. Programs run from one to four weeks and for grades 1-9.

Day Camp, grades 1-5, offers weekly themes, three weekly field trips and a relaxed curriculum of physical activity, creative arts, nature activities, safety and wellness and character-development activities. Entertainers and speakers at the camp site round out very full weeks. Field trips include bowling, roller skating, ice skating, Chuck E. Cheese, Coconuts, Mixon Fruit Farm, G.Wiz and many others.

Adventure Camp, grades 6-9, offers challenging activities and four weekly field trips plus onsite activities including sports, games and more. Field trips include MOSI, Busch Gardens, Tampa Bay Rays plus local trips swimming, bowling, roller skating and much more.

One-week specialty camps allow children to explore new interests. New camps this year are sand sculpture, beach volleyball, five different Bricks 4 Kidz camps and fishing camp. Returning favorites include cooking, golf, the environment, Mad Science, skim boarding, water sports, video gaming and more!
